January 8, 2014 the second project group and the Steering Committee meeting was held at 14:00 – 18:00 at the Institute of Preventive Medicine, Frederiksberg Hospital. The achievements in all the sub-projects (i.e. foetal exposure to vitamin D and later development of preeclampsia, type 1 diabetes, fractures, an schizophrenia) were presented by the project group members and dicussed in a plenum with the members of Seteering Committe.

April 23 2014,  Scientific Advisory Board members Elina Hypponen and Cyrus Cooper met during the Vitamin D and Human Health meeting in London (UK). Possibilities for PhD students’ external stays were discussed.

April 29, 2014 a meeting with Steering Committee members Thorkild I.A. Sørensen and Bo Abrahamsen was held to discuss probability sampling options for vitamin D analyses from Dried Blood Spots study.

October 9, 2014 the joint project, Steering Committee and Scientific Advisory Board meeting was held at the Institute of Preventive Medicine, Frederiskberg Hospital. The following D-tect studies were discussed: Seasonal variation in birth weight, long term fortification effects on TD1 risk and seasonality of birth. long term fortification effects on childhood fracture risk, and the study protocols to anlyses long term fortification effects on preeclampsia and T2D risk.

October 10, 2014 the international D-tect symposium for the 40 invited guests was held at the Institut of Preventive Medicine, Frederiskberg Hospital.
